Brad Pitt Sits In The Audience Of The Ellen DeGeneres Show On His Day Off
Brad Pitt hasn’t sat down for a ton of interviews in the past three years – and he has definitely steered clear of talk shows – thanks to his nasty split from Angelina Jolie. But, now that he is promoting two new films – Once Upon a Time In Hollywood and Ad Astra – he’s starting to talk a little bit more. And, this week he sat in the audience of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on his “day off,” but it turned out the A-list actor was too much of a distraction.
When DeGeneres took the stage for Friday’s show there were a lot of high-pitched screams in the audience – more than usual – and that’s when the talk show host realized that superfan Brad Pitt was part of the crowd.

Pitt was standing and cheering along with everyone else, and when DeGeneres asked him what he was doing there, he told her “Don’t mind me,” and added that he was a fan who had the day off, and he stopped by to see how the show was going.
DeGeneres thought it was best that he come on stage and sit in the chair next to her, but he declined.
“I’m good,” said Pitt. “Carry on.”
As DeGeneres attempted to do a segment about back to school photos, Pitt kept interrupting her and asking questions. He asked if the Ellen Shop was going to be open after the taping, and when DeGeneres said it was always open after the show, Pitt replied, “Good. I love the underwear.”
When DeGeneres’ first guest – Will & Grace star Sean Hayes – came out for his interview, he couldn’t handle the distraction because of Pitt’s “blue eyes.” Hayes mentioned that Pitt hadn’t done the show in eight years, and he eventually gave up his seat next to the “world’s richest lesbian” to “the guy from two episodes of Growing Pains.”

When Pitt made his way on stage, he and DeGeneres started talking about how they met. The Fight Club star said he first met DeGeneres at Melissa Etheridge’s pool party in the late 1980s or early 1990s. And, Pitt claims that DeGeneres was hitting on his then-girlfriend.
“I was flattered,” said Pitt
DeGeneres also revealed that she actually dated one of Pitt’s former girlfriends, but then laughed and said, “We’ll talk about that later.”
“After the show,” replied Pitt.
The 55-year-old actor also talked about how he got into shape for his shirtless scene in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Pitt said that he hits the gym to “throw some weights around” or runs a few times a week.

New episodes of The Ellen DeGeneres Show air weekdays in syndication. Ad Astra hits theaters on September 20th, and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is still in theaters nationwide.
